Who Qualifies For A Bursary Or University Student Loan From NSFAS?



The National Student Financial Aid Scheme (NSFAS) has formally opened the 2025 application system.

Applications are actually open and will shut on fifteen December 2024.

*** Who qualifies for NSFAS funding

To qualify for NSFAS funding, an applicant should fulfill the following requirements:

• Be a South African citizen or copyright who emanates from a home using a combined gross household income that doesn't exceed R350 000 per annum.

• Persons with disabilities qualify if their combined residence revenue does not exceed R600 000 per annum.

• SASSA recipients instantly qualify for funding and want not submit any proof of income.

*** Loan Scheme for the nsfas status check Missing Middle

The NSFAS Loan Scheme for the missing middle is open to all South African citizens and permanent inhabitants from homes with combined R350 000 and R600 000 for every annum.

Applicants are reminded to provide the correct Identity Document numbers, names, and surname, as reflected within their South African ID.

NSFAS only funds individuals who are finding out or plan to research at a public university or TVET college in South Africa.

All students who wish to study in any of the public universities and TVET colleges should apply timeously and not to wait until the nsfas status check last day.

Learners do not have to wait for matric results to apply for NSFAS. They should apply now nsfas 2025 and avoid delays in the processing of their application.
